The Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper, is the primary act of corporate worship here at St. Philip’s. Year round we celebrate the Eucharist together on most Sundays. In months with 5 Sundays, the fifth Sunday will be Morning Prayer. From September until June we also celebrate the Eucharist at 1 pm on Wednesdays.
On Sundays we use Eucharistic prayer number 5 from the Book of Alternative Services. Whenever possible we sing this together as a congregation.
On Wednesdays, we read and discuss the lectionary readings for the upcoming week, in the place of a sermon. We follow an instructed Eucharist out of all bulletin provided by the Anglican Church of Canada. The Wednesday Eucharist is a said service.
