Thursday, November 26, 2015:
Service of Light: This service was formerly known as Blue Christmas, and is an opportunity for those who find the approaching holidays difficult, to spend some time in quietness and contemplation. The service begins at 7:00 pm.
As we prepare to enter into the season of Advent we all carry much burden in our hearts, be it from a loss of a loved one, a relationship that is not right or illness or stress – all of which is absolutely normal for us. Remembering pain and looking for hope is part of the Christmas story. Christmas is incarnation, God becoming flesh in the person Jesus Christ and in the promise that the future rests in God’s hands and all will be well. We invite you to join us for a time where we will soak in silence, listen to scripture, resonate with the music, light a memorial candle, and ask for healing or blessing all in the company of the Holy Spirit.
